More World Cup Rugby!

Well, doesn't that just show you. France beat England. From the match France played against Tonga one would never have suspected they would win this match, but they did and all credit to them. What rankles is that a lot of teams (like Scotland) only ever really pull out the stops when they face England. Maybe the old Union Jack makes them angry, like a red rag to a bull.
I was impressed by Argentina playing New Zealand. They fought like tigers in the first half and their tackling and defence were superb.

World Cup Rugby

Anyone who’s following the Rugby World Cup, will know that England play France in the quarter finals on the 8th. Should be a good match though I fancy England will win. The main reservation I have is that England should have played better against Scotland. The Scots [wahey wi’ Wallace bled] fought valiantly and deserved to win the first half, but as ever they didn’t score tries. If they had, our team would be on the way home.
Back to England v France. Many have criticised the French captain for his choice of a scrum in the last few minutes of the match againstTonga.
