Fred's Doc Blog

Sunday 17.10.10

To blog or not to blog, now that's the question.

Easy Sunday morning. A good day to make defamatory remarks about politicians, the news, people in general.

Not a lot. I  acknowledge however that politics is an interesting word. Poly means many in Greek and tics are blood-sucking parasites. Leaves little to the imagination I guess.

Anyone who has read my book will understand there may be allegorical associations between the main character's dillemma and those faced by many of us working in the political football we call 'The NHS'. Sad but true.

If only the many blood-sucking parasites would leave the NHS alone, maybe we could get on with the job of looking after patients. Things arten't what they used to be, but maybe they never were.

More later....

Congratulations on your book! Your translation of the word politics wasn't bad at all, in fact, most of the time it seems to be the truth!! "Things aren't what they used to be" you claim - well the same goes for us here - but mind you - some things aren't as good as the used to be, but, other things are definitely much better! The best to you, Vivi
